Anika is one of the most experienced and accomplished coach/trainers currently working with pre-college youth. She had extensive experience rowing for the German National Team, competing at World Championships in Poland, Belgium, Scotland, Italy, and Greece.

Moving to the U.S., Anika began coaching crew at Ohio State University as an assistant coach in 2001. After relocating to Long Island, Anika coached at Dowling College prior to accepting the Head Coach position at Long Island Rowing.

Anika juggles her career coaching with her personal life, raising four active children. Since Anika joined the team LIRC has sent boats to National Championships, and has seen athletes to go on to row at America's premier colleges and universities.
